I already know just by the few minutes we have been here, this is going to be UH-MAZING!!! I will keep writing as I go along, but I've already got the stars ready... The fried craw tails were delish! The salad was fresh. Everything from the Cajun pasta to the catfish had sooooo much yummy flavor. I haven't had my tastebuds this wiggly in such a long time! We opted for dessert to take home. The slices of cheesecake were huge and super tasty. The bread pudding and chocolate cake... amazing. I love everything about this place. Oh! And the service was spectabulous!!!!!! For an appetizer, 4 meals, 4 drinks, and 3 desserts (the bread pudding came with my meal), the total was $115 with military discount.

The place was nice and big. The servers were nice and the food came out pretty fast. Hands down the best, most tender catfish I've ever had in my life. Really really good!!!

Bigger digs for The Real New Orleans Style Restaurant. This counts now three different locations I've dined at. Founded in Round Mountain, moved to Marble Falls off 1431. Now anchored firmly on 281 in a former burger restaurant. Seems fairly organized but getting started with a large group was a little slow. Drinks seemed to take forever but once we settled in service was fine. I started with the NOLA BBQ Shrimp. Not as refined as fellow restaurant titan Ruth's Chris but good bites. I did not have the Fried Chicken this visit but it should be on your short list for the best in Central Texas. They always warn you it's cooked to order so it takes more time. I instead opted for the lunch Pontchartrain with has Blackened Catfish, Red Beans and Rice, and Garlic bread. GF loved her Fried Chicken lunch too with amazing Cornbread. We literally took up 7 tables with just our group. I snuck some onion rings from another table! Not one diner had a complaint about the food they ordered. Seriously, some of the best Cajun food in the area. Gonna try to remember to dine here more often.

My family and I were visiting for the Labor Day weekend and this restaurant was on our list; and it did not disappoint. Family owned restaurant of native Louisianans. Everyone was friendly from the hostess to the manager. The restaurant has pictures from New Orleans, Bible quotes, large New Orleans Style sign and a very heartfelt well just dedicated to the memory of this impacted by Hurricane Katrina and Rita. Now the food. Let just say yummy, delicious, um um um good. Appetizer: chargrilled oysters 10/10 Entrees: Red fish with rice and mixed veggies 10/10 Cajun pasta 10/10 Catfish with red beans and rice with sausage 10/10 Kids popcorn shrimp 10/10 Dessert: Key lime pie 8/10, only because I'm not a big fan but the lime was popping Bread pudding 10/10, my mom said she loved it Real food, made by a passionate family I will drive from Dallas just to eat a good meal and this restaurant is worth the drive.

We were passing through Marble Falls Texas. Not even hungry. But I had heard the story of the business owners from several sources. Also I saw the piece on Good Taste, with Tangy. When I saw her reaction after tasting the food, I knew I would travel back to Marble Falls one day, just to try The Real New Orleans restaurant! The food: let's start with impressive. I have not tasted food this good in a very very very long time! The fried chicken is perfectly seasoned, crispy and juicy! The red beans and rice, the best I have ever had (in a restaurant). The lobster mac and cheese, delicious! Its like no other mac and cheese, its very unique in a wonderful way. So we ordered takeout. the staff we encountered was patient, friendly and helpful! The place smelled wonderful!

Listen, if you in marble falls and you don't eat here just head back home with your head low. With all the Cajun places from San Antonio to marble falls, this is one I know for sure is owned by people from New Orleans. The hostess graduated from the same high school as me back there(nunya bizness what year haha). So they authentic authentic. And the food speaks to that. So does the hospitality. It's pretty open inside with plenty of seating. There's also some outside. Getting into the parking is a little tricky if you miss the turn in, and the spaces are pretty tight, but none of it is unmanageable. Back to the food. The gumbo. THE GUMBO. I can't recommend it enough. This is straight from Louisiana. You can taste it. Even a cup was packed with shrimp, sausage, gizzard, chicken. Best I've had in Texas. And I've tried a lot. Hands down number 1. I ordered a southern fried chicken plate, a fish and shrimp lunch, chicken tenders for my son, and my son's mother had the pontchartrain. The fish and shrimp were fried to perfection. I think the chicken could have needed a grease change, but the pieces were large and fried perfectly. Very juicy. We actually had to send my son's chicken tenders back. They were rubbery and couldn't be chewed. I even tried. Don't know what happened there. But they swapped it out with a burger with no issues. My son's mother liked the pontchartrain as well. Oh, the red beans and rice was also on point. And the hush puppies. Sooooo good. I drove from San Antonio just to try them after I read their story about moving there after Katrina. I had to go support peeps from back home. And it was well worth the drive, and I will go back. I leave you with this. THE GUMBO!!!!

Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. We arrived around 730 and were seated right away, but they were running pretty low on tables They have a wide variety of options, I decided to go for the deconstructed jambalaya. It came with shrimp, chicken, and sausage, all of which were tasty, but the sausage was my clear favorite. The sauce was surprisingly smokey, still quite good but not exactly what I expected. If you're a Cajun purist you may not be quite as into this place as we were. Their prices and portions were pretty reasonable. My friends both ordered a cup of gumbo before their entrees and had enough of their entrees left over for a small meal the next day. The service was friendly but a little on the slower side. Even taking into account the fact things are made fresh, they were clearly low on staff We overall had a really good experience and definitely recommend giving them a try if you find yourself in the marble falls area!
